American School of Classical Studies at Athens -ASCSA
Wiener Laboratory: J. Lawrence Angel Fellowship in Human Skeletal Studies


Purpose: Annual award to allow doctoral candidates and postdoctoral scholars with well-defined projects, working either alone or in collaboration with local research institutions, to study human skeletal remains from archaeological contexts in Greece.

Field of Study: Archaeology and physical anthropology.

Eligibility: Doctoral candidates working on dissertations and scholars holding a Ph.D. or equivalent degree.

Award: Stipend from $15,500 to $25,000, depending on academic seniority and experience. School fees for ASCSA are waived for Angel fellows. The fellowship is for one academic year, beginning in September. Projects should be planned for completion during this time.
