Scholastic Writing Awards
The Scholastic Student Writing Awards is an annual literary competition for children across the country. Children between the ages of ten and fifteen are asked to write short stories or non-fiction pieces.
These are judged in the elimination round by school teachers, and in the final round by well-established authors. Not only do the winners get wonderful prizes, a selection of the prize-winning entries are published every June as For Kids By Kids: Best of the Scholastic Writing Awards.
