Department of Biotechnology (DBT) invites requisitions from biotech companies interested to provide six months practical training to the Biotechnology students under BITP. Candidates would be selected as per requisitions received from the companies. The companies would have no obligation towards any payments to trainees. The companies would be paid bench fee to cover expenses towards training. Biotech Consortium India Limited (BCIL) is implementing the programme since 1993 and hundreds of Biotechnology students have been trained in leading biotech companies. The objective of BITP is to provide industrial exposure to students for improving job prospects and helping biotech industry to identify prospective manpower.

Department of Biotechnology invites applications from Biotechnology students for practical training in biotech companies. Stipend of Rs.6,500/- p.m. will be paid to candidates placed for training. The application would be accepted online only. Students interested in industrial training only need to apply. Students interested in higher studies/ research need not apply. Application does not guarantee training under BITP.
