Spatial design is about invention and critique where students create tangible and virtual products that focus on how to reveal the gaps between people and objects. Students use traditional media (drawing, sculpting, model making) construction of small installations and digital media to expand the way they think about their work and therefore the way they envision how we live next to man-made objects. Spatial design includes interior and exterior design. Spatial designers are in great demand because the growing consciousness for style and décor.
They are not only creative but technically sound professionals who work as part of a team which includes architects, furnishers, craft designers, etc. They plan the entire structure of homes and offices in such a way that along with style they also consider the practical aspects such as proper ventilation, drainage system, water supply and safety. Interior designers have to keep in mind the latest schemes, light effects, directions of different rooms, etc. Spatial design graduates are employed as architectural assistants, interior designer, exhibition designers, landscape designers, film-set designers, teachers, animators, visualizer and in other design-related posts.
