86. I have finished my BE Civil in 2006, presently I’m working in private firm. I would like to do post graduate in construction management through distance education. Which University offers such course? When the admission process starts?



The Post Graduate Programme in Advance Construction Management, under the auspices of National Institute of Construction Management and Research (NICMAR) could be quiet suitable for you. A postgraduate on-campus programme available at NICMAR is the Postgraduate Programme in Project Engineering and Management. This is a two-year, full-time, residential programme, offered from Pune. Those with a Bachelor’s degree in any branch of Engineering with at least 50 percent marks can seek admission to the programme. The selection process comprises a written test covering analytical, quantitative and psychological abilities and English language (alternately, a valid score in CAT/ XAT/ JMET/ ATMA/ GMAT/ MAT); group discussion and personal interview.

• Indian Institute of Technology, Madras conducts an M. Tech programme in Building Technology and Construction Management.

• University of Roorkee conducts an 18-month Postgraduate course in Urban and Rural Planning and Building Science.
