Announcement For Early Faculty Induction Programme (EFIP) - 2205-06
Preamble
Adequately qualified, highly competent and mitivated faculty is becoming scarce in technical institutions all over the country. the shortage of faculty has become still more acute due to rapid expansion in technical education. AICTE is giving
a high priority to attract bright young persons to teaching profession and has therefore launched a very noble scheme with distinct features called as
Early Faculty Induction Programme (EFIP). The application form can be downloaded from website :www.aicte.ernet.in or www.efip.iisc.ernet.in
Eligibility :
Studetns studying in the institutes listed in the Website with the following qualification shall beeligible for EFIP
(i) All GATE qualified studetns inthe 1st Semester of M.Tech programme or equivalent.
(ii) B.Tech graduates from IITs pursuing 1st semester of M.Tech programme or equivalent {ME/MS (by research)} in IITs & IISc.
(iii) Dual Degree students of 9th semester in IITs
(iv) Regular Ph.D studetns who have completed 2 years of their programme.
Incentives offered in the scheme :
(i) Each EFIP candidate after selection would be eligible for getting a contingency grant of Rs.10,000/- per year towards purchasing of books and / or
for attending seminars / workshops / conference etc., within the country during the PG programme.
(iii) Once an EFIP candidate joins the technical institution as a faculty as per AICTE norms, the candidate would be paid an amount of Rs.5000/- per month
in addition to the salary, for a period of three years.
The last date for receiving the filled in applications is 11th November, 2005
