Introduction to National Institute Of Social Defence
National Institute of Social Defence, an autonomous body under the ministry of social justice & empowerment, offers a six month Certificate Course in Geriatric Care. The course aims to develop a cadre of professionally trained old age caregivers. The course covers subjects like social Gerontology, Basic Geriatrics, Applied Geriatrics and Geriatric Nursing.
Eligibility
A pass in high school Examination is elgible to apply. Preference will be given to the candiates working as old Age Care Givers, Health Workers, Social Workers, Nursing Assistants. Selection will be made thorugh a Common Aptitude Test to be held at NewDelhi, Bhubaneswar, Kolkata, Agartala, pune, Bangalore, Cochin and coimbatore follwed by group Discussion and interview.
