The japanese Embassy and the Consulates General of Japan at Kolkata, chennai and Mumbai have started accepting applications form Indian youth for the 2006 Japan Exchange and Teaching (JET) programme. the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs has decided to expand the programme in India
and to recruit more Indian youth to advance friendly relations between Japan and India.
The programme offers highly qualified college / university graduates the opportunity to work as either Assistant language teachers in elementary and secondary schools or coordinators for international relations in selected local government offices in Japan.
