M. Sc Nano-Biotechnology (2 Years)
Manonmaniam Sundaranar University, Tirunelveli, is starting a new two-year M. Sc in Nano-Biotechnology from July 2008.
This M. Sc Programme is self-supporting and the syllabus will comprise subjects in the forefront areas of nanobiotechnology such as DNA Micro array, Protein Micro array, Lab-on-a-CHIP, Biorobotics, Bio-Electronics, Micro fluidics and Nanomedicine.
Study of an international language during the course period is mandatory. This research-based programme will require the students to carry out investigations continuously for two years along with their course. As nanobiotechnology is a highly interdisciplinary subject, students from different disciplines such as Biotechnology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Bioinformatics, Pharmacy, Chemistry, Physics, Medical Science, Agricultural Science, Environmental Science are admitted. Students who wish to take this course as a second PG course can also apply.
