National Environmental Engineering Research Institute (NEERI), established in 1958, with headquarters at Nagpur and six Zonal Laboratories across the country, is one of the constituent laboratories of Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR), the premier multidisciplinary R&D organization in India. The Institute is engaged in Research & Development in the areas of Environmental Monitoring; Environmental Biotechnology; Hazardous Waste Management; Environmental System Design, Modelling & Optimization ; Environmental Impact & risk Assessment; and Environmental Policy Analysis. NEERI invites applications for fifteen (15) dynamic and motivated " RESEARCH INTERNS" under CSIR Diamond Jubilee Research Interns Awards Scheme. This gives an opportunity to : 1. Work on modern state-of-art R&D 2. Imbibe the spirit of R& D by jostling with role models 3. Gain from knowledge & experience of accomplished scientists 4. Develop capabilities in R&D related issues such as IP management research planning and marketing of knowledge, S&T HRD etc., 5. Train Inter-laboratory research in trans-disciplinary area of science. No.Of Positions: Maximum 15 ( number may vary) 1 Intern ( Environmental Science ) for NEERI Zonal Lab , Mumbai 1 Intern (Inorganic/Analytical Chemistry) for NEERI Zonal lab , Jaipur Tenure: Maximum 2 years (subject to performance review every six monts) Age Limit: 25 years as on 31.03.2004 (Relaxable upto 5 years in case of CS/ST/OBC, Handicapped & Female candidates) Stipend: Rs.7,500/-(Fixed) per month.
