The National Institute for the Mentaly handicapped an autonomous organisation under Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment invites application from qualified and eligible professionals for NIMH fellowship.
The broad disciplines recognised for fellowship are :
1. Special Education
2. Rehabilitation Psychology
3. Child Development
4. Psychiatry
5. Paediatrics
6. Therapeutics(Speech, Physical and Occupational)
7. Vocational Training
8. O & M and Industrial Engineering for Vocational Training
9. Organizational Development and Management Sciences
10. Project Management
11. Information Technology - Technology Development
12. Social Work - Community Baswd Rahabilitation
Eligibility
1. Postgraduate in the relevant discipline with at least 55% marks.
2. The candidate must have cleared National Eligibility Test (NET) for JRF / Lecturership in Social Sciences held by UGC/CSIR.
3. The applicant must be registered for Ph.D.
4. The Candidate will have to work full time under the supervision of one of the faculty members of the institute.
Age
The upper age limit is below 35 years as on 31.12.2003 (relaxable by 5 years in case of SC/ST). In exceptional cases, where a candidate is found to have outstanding ability, the age limit may be relaxed marginally at the discretion of NIMH.
Fellowship
The Study fellowship will be Rs.8,000/- per month for the first and second year and Rs.9,000/- for the third and subsequent years as per the UGC guidelines. It is proposed to take 10 such Research Fellows from different functional areas and from different regions in a year.
Last date for submission of application at NIMH in person / by post is 31.12.2003
NIMH reserves right to reject any application without assigning any reason.
