Candidates seeking admission to the first year of the professional degree courses offered by the colleges mentioned below for the academic year 2005-2006 should appear in the Joint Entrance Test - 2005 (JET - 2005) which is to be conducted on 26th and 27th May 2005. JET-2005 will be conducted in Pondicherry, karaikal,Mahe and Yanam.
Candidates who have already passed HSC or equivalent qualifying examination and those who are appearing in such qualifying examination in March / April 2005 are eligible to appear in JET - 2005, but their admission to the respective degree course will be subject to passing the qualifying examination with the corresponding minimum marks given below Application Procedure for Joint Entrance Test and Admission Candidates who wish to appear in JET - 2005 adn seeking admission to the degree courses coming under CENTAC must apply in the prescribed applications forms only. Necessary application forms (one for JET-2005 and another for admission) along with the information Bulletin can be obtained on or after 1st April 2005 in person from the following Post Offices on all working days on payment of Rs.315/-(Rs.300/- towards the cost of application and Rs.15/- for service charges) and Rs.90/-(Rs.75/- towards the cost of application and Rs.15/- for service charges) for SC/ST candidates. Post Offices : Pondicherry : Head Post Office, Pondicherry Engineering College Post Office Extension Counter,Bahour,Kandamangalam,Kirumampakkam,Kottakuppam, Lawspet,madagadipet,Mudaliarpet,Nettapakkam,Thirukanur and Villiyanur Karaikal : Head Post Office, Thirunallar, Ambakarathur, Nedunkadu, Neravy & Mahe, Yanam Post Offices. Application forms can also be obtained by post by sending a request along with two self-addressed slips(neatly typed or hand written) and a crossed Demand Draft for Rs.365/-(Rs.300/- towards the cost of application and Rs.65/- for speed post) and Rs.140/-( Rs.75/- towards the cost of application and Rs.65/- for speed post) for SC/ST candidates, to The Convenor, CENTAC, Pondicherry Engineering College Campus, Pondicherry - 605 014 The Demand Draft should be drawn in favour of " The Convenor, CENTAC" payable at Pondicherry. payment by Cheques, Money Orders and Postal Orders will not be accepted.
