ADMISSION NOTIFICATION 2009-10 FOR 4-YEAR INTEGRATED B.A.Ed PROGRAMME
In continuation of our Advertisement which appeared in Hindu dated 24th May 2009 and other Regional Language News papers, applications are invited in the prescribed form for Admission to 4 year integrated B.A.Ed programme from the Eligible candidates of Karnataka / Kerala / Tamil Nadu / Andhra Pradesh and Union Territories of Puducherry and Lakshadweep. Reservation for SC & ST, OBC, Physically Handicapped (Horizontal reservation) will be made in accorda nee with Govt, of India Rules.
SCHOLARSHIP: All SC & ST students and 50% of the remaining students admitted for B.A.Ed Programme will be awarded a scholarship of Rs. 800/- pm as per NCERT Rules, provided they are not getting any financial assistance from any other sources. In addition, 20% remaining students will be awarded freeship as per rules. The selected candidates should submit parental Income Certificate. SC & ST students are exempted from paymentof Tuition fee.
ELIGIBILITY: Candidate should have passed Senior Secondary I Higher Secondary / P U C Examination of 2006 -2009 with 45% marks in aggregate (relaxation of 5% Marks for SC & ST) with the following Combinations: English, Regional Language and any two of the following subjects: History, Geography, Economics, Political Science and Sociology.
All Eligible candidates who have applied shall appear for Admission Test on 12th July 2009 at 10.30 am at Regional Institute of Education, Mysore. The Test will consist of Multiple Choice Questions in Aptitude for Teaching, English and in any Two of the following subjects: History, Geography, Economics, Political Science and Sociology
HOW TO APPLY: Requisition for application form should be sent to the Assistant Programme Coordinator (Academic Section), Regional Institute of Education, Mysore ¦ 570006 accompanied by a crossed Demand Draft payable at Mysore for Rs, 250/- (Rs. 150/- in case of SC/ST candidates), drawn in favour of Principal, Regional Institute of Education, Mysore 570006 along with a self-addressed 26cm X12cm size envelope bearing Rs. 10/- postal stam p. Pay mentwill not beaccepted in the form of Money Order or Cash or Postal Orders, The duly filled in application form along with enclosures should be sent to the Assistant Programme Coordinator (Academic Section, Ph. 0821-2514515), Regional Institute of Education, Mysore - 570006. Application format can also be downloaded from the RIEM website www.riemysore.ac.in and application should be accompanied by an account payee demand draft of Rs. 250/- (in case of SC / ST candidates it should be Rs. 150/-) in favour of Principal, Regional Institute of Education, Mysore - 06.
The last date for accepting the completed application in all respects will be on 10th July 2009.
List of selected candidates will be announced on 13.7.2009.
All the selected candidates have to join the Institute on or before 20.7,2009.
Seats falling vacant will be filled from waitlisted candidates which will be announced on 22nd July 2009 and they should report on or before 27th July 2009.
