The South Asia Program provides support to college and university faculty, permanently residing and teaching in South Asia, to prepare an article of sufficient quality to be published in a major social science journal or to ready a monograph for publication by an academic press. Applicants must hold a PhD in the social sciences, humanities, or related fields. The fellowship theme for the 2005-06 competition is The ‘Long’ 1950s.
