The Research Analyst Examination is for any person who is responsible for preparing research reports concerning equity securities. It is also required for those whose name will appear on the reports. In addition, he or she must either have either functioned continuously as a research analyst since having passed Level II of the CFA examination or he or she must have passed Level II of the CFA examination within two years of application for registration as a research analyst.
