Applications are invited from the eligible candidates for admission into 3 year Degree Course (Sastri), 2 Year P.G. Course
(Acarya) and Doctoral Course (Ph.D.) Vidyavaridhi. Prescribed application form and prospectus can be had from the Registrar,
Sri Venkateswara Vedic University, II Floor, Purandaradass Complex, Prakasam Road, Tirupati -517 501. Admissions are based on
the Entrance Examination. The last date for receipt of the filled in applications in the office is 20th June, 2009.
SASTRI (B.A.) COURSE
ELIGIBILITY (Age 17-22 Y)
Kramanta in (1) Rigveda (Sakala);
(2) Krishna Yajurveda (Taittiriya);
(3) Sukla Yajurveda (Kanva / Madhyandina); and
(4) Padanta in Samaveda (Kouthuma /Jaiminiya / Ranayaniya)
Successful Adhyayana of Samhita & Brahmana portion of respective Veda.
Pratishthanta in (5) Vaikhana-sagama; (6) Panchajatragama and (7) Saivagama
Successful Adhyayana of Kalyanotsavanta portion in respective Agama.
Sodasakarmanta in
(8) Aswalayana (Rigveda) Pourohitya;
(9)Apasthamba (Krishnayajurveda) Pourohitya;
(10) Vaikhanasa Pourohitya and
(11) Paraskara (Suklayajurveda) Pourohitya
Successful Adhyayna of Upanayanaanta part in respective Sutra.
(12) Rigveda Bhashya;
(13) Krishna Yajurveda Bhashya;
(14) Sukla Yajurveda Bhashya (Kanva / Madhyandina);
(15) Samaveda Bhashya; and
(16) Atharvaveda Bhashya
Successful Adhyayana of Moolam in respective Veda and essential knowledge of Sanskrit.
ACARYA (P.G. COURSE)
ELIGIBILITY (Age 20-25 Y)
Ghananta in (1) Rigveda (Sakala);
(2) Krishna Yajurveda (Taittiriya);
(3) Sukla Yajurveda (Kanva / Madhyandina)
Pass in Kramantham in respective Veda.
(5) Vaikhanasagama;
(6) Pancharatragama; and
(7) Saivagama
Pass in Prtishtaantam portion in respective Agama.
(8) Aswalayana (Rigveda) Pourohitya;
(9) Apasthamba (Krishnayajurveda) Pourohitya;
(10) Vaikhanasa Pourohitya; and
(11) Paraskara (Suklayajurveda) Pourohitya.
Pass in Shodasa / Ashtadasa Karmaantha portion in respecitve Sootra.
(12) Rigveda Bhashya;
(13)Krishna Yajurveda Bhashya;
(14) Sukla Yajurveda Bhashya (Kanva / Madhyandina);
(15) Samaveda Bhashya; and

Pass in Sastri or equivalent course in concerned Vedabhashya.
DOCTORAL COURSE (Ph.D.)

Pass in P.G. Course with 55% from a recognised University / Institution in any of the subjects offered by the Vedic
University.
