A Prime Minister is a pivot around which the entire country’s destiny hinges. Like the leader of any organization the role played by the top leader is critical and can make or break an organization. Similarly, if a Prime Minister (PM) is clear headed and has a well defined vision, he or she can spell all the difference between India becoming a superpower or just being a third world nation.

My Vision:

My vision would be ‘to make India a superpower, both in economic and military terms’.

Mission Statement:

My mission statement as the PM of India would be:

a. To make India fully self-reliant in the fields of food, energy and technology.

b. To make India a country with the best infrastructure that is available anywhere in the world.

c. To eradicate poverty and ensure that no Indian is below the poverty line

d. To eradicate the scourge of illiteracy.

e. To remove corruption in all walks of life.

f. To achieve all the above without sacrificing on our rich cultural heritage and diversity.

Key result areas:

1. To eradicate illiteracy.

2. National pride: Building national pride in each and every citizen of my country so that each and every citizen realized that he or she is part of a winning team called Team India.

3. Infrastructure: Excellent infrastructure, powerful energy producing plants, wide roads, free economic zones and working towards a rupee that is as stable in the basket of currencies as the Japanese yen.

I am that dreams turn into reality not with a magic wand, not by chanting prayers in a loud voice, not by hoping for a stroke of good luck but by sheer hard work done intelligently. If made the PM of India, I will take it forward by a hundred years and ensure that for us Indians, winning becomes a habit. Jai Hind!

Every nation should have a vision statement which can stir imagination in all strategies of the nation. India has the opportunity to become a leading economic nation in the nest two decades, provided her people have self-determination and self-reliance as well as ability to realize their potentialities individually and in a collective manner.

The strength of nation can be achieved by integrating technologies from the multi-institutions. The integrated technology includes talented manpower and techno-based infrastructure.

India’s foreign policy should be strengthened. I will focus on making constructive changes with the help of other world powers to bring about lasting changes in the society. For this, our relationship with other countries should be strengthened.

India should emerge as a strong economic and a strong military country. India lives in its rural parts. So to bring about a complete change, these areas must be developed. I will first provide the basic needs and will concentrate on the spread of telecommunication to the remotest parts of our country.

Backing infrastructure will be provided.

Advancement in the agricultural methods is equally important. I will introduce new machine and techniques besides educating them completely about their work. Improved quality of seeds, controlling measures storing and sowing techniques, all will be covered.

Corruption will be fought against completely. I will give adequate power to the legislature and executive and see to it that they are being implemented in an honest and loyal manner. Quick trials and execution will be into practice whenever necessary. Machinery at the state offices will e made more accountable.

Development in medical facilities will be improved. Technology will be introduced. But I will also keep in mind the rural areas and ensure free monthly compulsory check-ups to one and all. Preventive measures will also be taken at all costs to prevent the rise of epidemics. Health education will also be made compulsory.

Job opportunities have always been a problem faced by the youth and various talented people who force them to go abroad and serve other nations rather than serving their own, therefore, I will first survey and then analyze the root cause and then gradually work upon it so that their talent does not go waste.

Being a PM is not easy. He has to look and decide various things besides the development of their nation. Gandhi always inspired me but at the same time Bhagath Singh and SC Bose also inspire me to a large extent. Though these two people were completely different but without anyone of them independence would not have been possible. India has been developing at a normal speed since independence, I as the PM will try to accelerate it.

The “Golden Bird is ready to fly”. Poised to host the commonwealth games, India is showcasing itself as an attractive venue for the Olympic games. Brimming with confidence, with an economy boom India today stands as a global superpower of the future. India is shining, but there is homework to be done.

For this sparkling gem, the Kohinoor of the world, getting 20 gold medals at the Olympics still seems an uphill task. A country of icons and humble young sports stars like Irfan Pathan, we lack, not in talent but in management. So today, crippled by charges of doping and performance we stand, hiding our faces. Riddled, with the hurdles of politics and corruption ridden management our country has to employ what we have effectively. A brilliant example is our Indian team cricket coach Greg Chappell who has managed to steer our team away from politics and to exploit our budding potential. One of the largest hurdles, our country’s athlete’s face, is lack of infrastructure for training. According to PT Usha it takes ten years to hone an athlete’s skills. We have the time, but not the basic infrastructure yet. Not only in urban areas but especially in the rural areas.

To get more medals, all sports must get an equal platform. Crocket has been dominating the field so far. Sponsorships abound and money is rolling in, but unfortunately here also only at the national level. So much so, that until Irfan Pathan got into the national team, his mother used so sew his foot pads. Many other sports like Hockey, Basketball, Swimming all lack sponsors without which, it is difficult to provide facilities and proper training equipment for athletes. It was a sad fact when the hockey team of India was not able to get a sponsor until Sahara stepped in. Proper infrastructure and sponsors apart what kills our sportsmen and women is the frustration of politics. This being the worst way of matching international standards. For when an athlete is chosen not by their won talent but by the political force backing them, then we have murdered the very spirit of sports. India is abounding with talent. Our country which can match U.S and China as a global superpower, can win not win 20, but many many more medals at the Olympics. But only if we follow a stringent sports policy which is cohesive and has accountability to the public. The Golden Bird is ready to fly, what it needs is the true patriotism of a fair and sports minded public.
