Applications are invited for the award of Commonwealth Academic Staff Fellowships for six months for the year 2005 offered by Commonwealth Secretariat U.K.

Applications are invited from permanent faculty members working in the University/College/Institution including Medical Institutes for the award of Commonwealth Academic Staff Fellowships for the year 2005. The Fellowships are tenable in any academic subject (including Medicine and Dentistry), The fellowships are not available for study towards higher degree.

Eligibility :

Citizenship and Residency : Candidates should be citizen of India.

Qualification Requirement : Candidates must hold a doctorate (or other postgraduate qualifications accepted as sufficient for the career he/she is following).

Time Restriction: Candidates must have been awarded their doctorate before 01 October ,2000.

Teaching Requirement: Candidates should have at least two years experience as a staff member of a University o similar institution in their home country.

Age Limit: Candidates should not be above 50 years as on October 01, 2005.

Duration: Duration of fellowship is six months.

Awards will be expected to commence from October, 2005.

Eligible candidates may apply in the prescribed proforma through the head of the Univerisity/Institute.

Application/nomination must be submitted on the appropriate nomination duly recommended by Vice-Chancellor/Head of the Institution and forwarded by Registrar/Competent authority.
