The United States-India Educational Foundation (USIEF) promotes mutual understanding between the people of the United States and India through academic and cultural exchange. Since 1950, the Fulbright Program has sponsored Indians from all walks of life to gain a greater understanding of U.S. society, culture, and values, and to foster a deeper appreciation of India amongst their American colleagues. d. Fulbright Scholar-in-Residence Program

How to Apply : This is a program for which U.S. institutions of higher education apply. They can either name a scholar or request recruitment of one through the Fulbright agencies worldwide. Therefore, Indian scholars should draw the SIR program to the attention of their U.S. counterparts. You can apply for only ONE Fulbright-Nehru fellowship category during a competition cycle.

Plagiarism in the application will lead to disqualification.

Unless otherwise specified, Fulbright-Nehru applications are to be submitted online.

Application deadlines vary. Applications received after the deadlines will NOT be considered.

Extensions and Transfer of visa sponsorship will not be permitted.
