ADVERTISEMENT FOR RESEARCH ASSOCIATE-I & JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOW
The Variable Energy Cyclotron Centre(VECC) is a national facility under the Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India, pursuing research in nuclear sciences, condensed matter physics, accelerator physics, computer science and theoretical physics. The
Centre has an AVF cyclotron which delivers energetic light and heavy ion beams for experiments in the field of nuclear spectroscopy $ reaction mechanism and also for radiation damage studies. The construction of a K500 Superconducting Heavy-Ion Cyclotron has been started
and a Radioactive Ion Beam (RIB) facility is being set up. Several projects have been taken up for development of multidetector facilities for this Centre as well as for on-going collaboration at CERN, Geneva and BNL New York in the field of ultra-relativistic heavy-ion collisions.
