Applications are invited for the following temporary positions coterminus with the Project duration. Sl.No.1 Title of the Project PI and duration/Funding Agency Investigations on lesser known aspects of mangrove biodiversity and ecology in the States of Goa, Karnataka and Andra Pradesh. PI : Dr.K.S.Rao Duration : 3 years, Funding Agency : MoEF, Govt.Of India Position available and Salary a) Junior Research Fellow : One post Salary : Rs.8000+HRA Qualification Essential Qualification : Post Graduate in Botany with Taxonomy / Ecology. Desirable Qualification : NET or GATE qualification, Work experience in the related field. b) Junior Research Fellow : One post Salary : Rs.8000+ HRA Qualification Essential Qualification :M.Sc., (Chemistry) with specialization in Organic Chemistry. Desirable Qualification :B.Sc., with Microbiology / Zoology. NET or GATE qualification . Work experience in Phytochemistry. Sl.No.2 Title of the Project PI and duration.Funding Agency Estimation of Forest Carbon pool in Western Ghats, Karnataka - Development of Biomass Expansion factors for major forest types PI: Dr.G.R.S.Reddy Duration: 3 years, Funding Agency NRSA Hyderabd Position available and Salary a) Junior Research Fellow : One post Salary : Rs.8000+HRA Qualification Essential Qualification : M.Sc., (Forestry)/M.Sc., (Botany) with specialization in Ecology Desirable Qualification :NET/GATE qualification. The upper age limit is 28 years and relaxable upto 5 years in case of SC/ST/OBC/Female candidates. The place of posting for Sl.No.1 a) will be Shore Laboratory of Institute of wood Science and Technology at Visakhapatanam. For SL.No.1 b) the place of posting will be Institute of Wood Science and Technology , Bangalore. For Sl.No.2 the place of posting will be at Forest Research Centre, Dutapally, Hyderabad and the field works will nostly be conducted in the Western Ghats of Karnataka.
