National Institute of Industrial Engineering (NITIE) is organizing a National Essay Competition on the occasion of National Productivity Week celebration during February 12-18, 2019, for encouraging the technical writing skills. The best two essays in each category will be awarded a Certificate. The award winning essays shall be published in the Udyog Pragati- Journal for Practicing Managers. All the papers received will be the property of NITIE and will not be returned to the participants.
The Essay should be written, in English and not exceeding 4,000 words, excluding references. The essay should be an original piece of work. It should be written in own words and not copied from any books, articles, or from the internet. It should be word-processed preferably using Microsoft Word, using double line spacing, with each page numbered, and with the essay title on the top of first page. The Essay should contain the following: An Introduction, which introduces the problem area/issue. A Body, which may contain the problem discussion and solution approach and its impact on productivity and sustainability. A Conclusion, which summarizes the work and analysis presented in the essay. Font must be in Times New Roman size 12.
Jury: Essays shall be evaluated by eminent persons from Industry and Academia.
Submission Procedure: Soft Copy of essay to be sent to benarkhede(at)nitie.ac.in with ‘Essay’ mentioned in the Subject lines. Category of author should be clearly mentioned. In case more than one author, the category shall be decided based on affiliation of first author. Authors are requested to submit the certificate of originality. Authors would be solely responsible of any claim of copyright violation.
Deadline for Submission: 4th February 2019
Declaration of Results: 18th February, 2019
