Applications are invited from eligible candidates for admission to the following postgraduate degree/diploma courses of Ranchi University and conducted at this Institute, commencing from May, 2016.

GROUP A

1. Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology : 4 seats- (NO RESERVATION)

Duration : 2 years

Qualification : M.Phil (Medical & Social Psychology/ Clinical Psychology) from any recognized University

2. M.Phil in CI. Psychology: 12 seats (UR-6, OBC-3, SC-2, ST-1) (01 PH)

Duration : 2 years

Qualification : M.A./M.Sc. in Psychology regular course of a recognized University with minimum 55% marks for UR and 50% marks for SC, ST & OBC in the aggregate.

GROUP B

3. M.Phil in Psychiatric Social Work. 12 seats(UR-7, OBC-4, SC-1) (01-PH)

Duration : 2 years

Qualification : M.A. in Sociology or Master in Social Work regular course of a recognized University with minimum 55% marks for UR and 50% marks for SC, ST and OBC in the aggregate.

GROUP C

4. Diploma in Psychiatric Nursing : 18 seats(UR-9, OBC-5, SC-3, ST-1) (02-PH)

Duration :One Year

Qualification: 'A' Grade Certificate or Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery.

Experience : Two years' experience as Staff Nurse.

Group A&B :Selected candidates will get scholarship of Rs. 8000/-per month.

Group C : Selected candidates will get scholarship of Rs. 2500/-per month.

For Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology and M.Phil in Clinical Psychology: There shall be an entrance test consisting of 100 MCQs type questions to be answered in 60 minutes. The shortlisted candidates shall be called for interview and practical. The test will have questions of MA/M.Sc. standard. The selection of candidates to the course will be based on total marks obtained in entrance test, interview and practical.

For M.Phil (PSW) There shall be an entrance test consisting of 100 MCQs type questions to be answered in 60 minutes. The shortlisted candidates shall be called for interview. The test will have questions of MA (Sociology)/MSW standard. The selection of candidates to the course will be based on total marks obtained in ! Entrance test and Interview.

For Diploma in Psychiatric nursing course there shall not be a written entrance examination. However, there will be an interview for the selection of the candidates.

Note:

For Ph.D.(Clinical Psychology) course :- Certificate of passing M. Phil (M&SP/Clinical Psychology) on or before 31.5.2016.

For M.Phil (CI. Psychology). M.Phll (PSW):- M.A./M.Sc. in Psychology, Sociology & Master of Social Work and results declared on or before 21.02.2016.

For the D.P.N.:- 2 years working experience certificate as a staff I nurse on or before 21.02.2016.

The candidates who do not fulfill above criteria need not apply.

The number of seats in each discipline is subject to change without assigning any reason.

15%. 7 %% and 27% seats are reserved for Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and OBC candidates respectively^su bjectip availability of such candidates. There shall also be reservation of 3% horizontal reservation for physically-handicapped persons {only for locomotor disabilities of lower limbs between 50% to 70% or as per the Govt, of India Rules in this regard} subject to availability of such candidates. If suitable candidates are not available under the reserved categories, seats will be filled up by un-reserved category candidates. There is no reservation in Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology course.

Candidates who are seeking reservation benefit in the OBC category should submit a certificate as per DOPT O.M. No. 36033/1/2013-Estt.(Res.), dated 27.5.2013.

For selection to the courses candidates must submit percentage of marks from their respective Universities to be eligible for the selection to the courses, where the marks sheet is awarded according to Grade system.

Attested Photocopies of all certificates, mark sheets, testimonials, Caste Certificate/Disability certificate if applicable etc., should be attached with the application. Further, candidates are directed to bring ail certificates in original on the day of entrance examination as well as on the day of interview/counselling for verification of the certificates. If any candidate is unable to produce the original certificates, he/she has to produce a certificate from the Head of the Institute/College/University stating that all original/following original certificates are submitted at that Institute/College/University etc.

Details of research experience, if any, in the form of research publications in peer-reviewed journals or research papers presented in scientific conferences may be attached on separate sheet(s) of paper. Reprints of research papers may also be attached.

The application form is to be submitted electronically by internet to CIP website: www.cipranchi.nic.in or online.cip.edu.in on or before December 22. 2015 and a hard copy of the same application form printed on A4 size bond paper complete in all respect along with a Demand Draft of Rs.400/- for Unreserved candidate and OBC Rs.300/- for SC/ST candidates (non-refundable) in favour of Director, CIP^Ranchi payable at Ranchi should reach the Director, Central Institute of Psychiatry, Kanke. Ranchi-834006 (Jharkhand) by December 30. 2015. The hard copy of the application form should be duly signed by the candidate and his/her photograph pasted in appropriate place. Incomplete applications not accompanied with Demand Draft, attested photocopies of all certificates, mark sheets, testimonials, Caste Certificate, Disability certificate if applicable or applications received after due date , i.e., December 30, 2015, shall not be considered. The admit card and a covering letter having necessary instructions will be made available on the CIP website. The admit card and the covering letter are to be downloaded and printed by the candidates and the same to be brought with them to the examination Centre. Examinee will not be allowed to enter the examination hall with any electronic communication gadgets, viz.. Mobile Phones. pager etc. Examinees, who come to the examination Centre, with such gadgets, has to make his/her own arrangements for keeping these outside the examination Centre and if found, he/she may be expelled from the examination. This should be strictly complied with.

From the pool of applicants suitable candidates would be asked to appear for a written examination and interview/practical at this institute, which shall be between February 21-26, 2016. The last date for joining the courses is 31" March, 2016. The candidates are strongly advised to visit the C.I.P. website from time to time for relevant information and instructions. The Institute maintains 210 bedded Men's Hostel and Women's hostels for a limited number of its postgraduate students.
