ALL INDIA ENTRANCE EXAMINATION NOTICE

The Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) invites applications from Indian Nationals, in the prescribed format, for ICAR's I6:h AiEEA-UG-2011 and AIEEA-PG-2011 on 100% seats at ICAR-Deemed Universities (Bachelor degree at NDRI Karnal only while Master degrees at lARi, IVRI, NDRI and CIFE), and on 15% seats (tentative) for Bachelor degrees and 25% seats (tentative) for Master degrees at State Agricultural Universities, Central Agricultural University Imphal, Central Universities with Agricultural Faculty (Banaras Hindu University, Viswa Bharati, Nagaland University and Aligarh Muslim University (for PG only)) and SHI ATS Allahabad for the academic session 2011-12. (This examination does not include admission to Bachelor degree programmes in Veterinary Sciences.) The details of notification must be seen on ICAR website at http://www.icar.org.in.

1. Dates of Examination:

UG: Saturday, the 16* April 2011 during 10:00-12:30 hrs PG: Sunday, the 17"" April 2011 during 10:00-12:30 hrs 2. Sale of Information Bulletin/Application Forms:

3. Eligibility:

3.1. Age: For AIEEA-UG-2011: Between 17 and 23 years as on 31 * Aug 2011 -

(UG Examination) (must have been bom between 01.09.1988 to 01.09.1994). For AIEEA-PG-2011: Not less than 19 years as on 31" August 2011. (PG Examination) (must not have been bom after 01.09.1992)

3.2. Qualifying Examination:

3.2.1. For AIEEA-UG-2011: (Other than Veterinary Sciences)

Must have passed and obtained not less than 50% marks in aggregate for admission under General, UPS and OBC categories or 40% marks in aggregate for admission under SC, ST and PH categories in 10+2 examination or equivalent/Inter (Agriculture) with PCM/ PCBI PCMB/ PCA/ PCH subject combinations.

3.2.2. For AIEEA-PG-2011:

Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Veterinary. Agricultural Engineering, Fisheries, Horticulture, Home Science, Sericulture, Dairy Technology, Dairy Engineering, Forestry, Agri. Marketing Banking and Cooperation, Food Science & Technology, Biotechnology, Process & Food Engineering, Computer Science, Basic and allied sciences under 10+2+5 or 10+2+4 years degree programmes. (Few seats are also available for candidates having Bachelor degree with 10+2+3 year degree programme) with required OGPA of 6.60/10, 3.25/5, 2.6074 for General, OBC and UPS categories whereas for SC/ST/Physically Handicapped (PH) categories the said requirement is 5 60/10. 2.75/5, 2.20/4, respectively. In other cases, where grade-points are not awarded and only marks are awarded, the candidate must have secured at least 60% marks for General, OBC and UPS categories whereas for SC/ST/PH, the requirement is 50% marks. (Equivalence between OGPA and % marks will not be acceptable). The In-service candidates, seeking admission to ICAR Deemed universities. should see their respective website.

4. Cost of Information Bulletin with Application form:

AIEEA-UG-2011: Rs40Q/- for General OBC and UPS categories & Rs 2007- for SC, ST. and PH categories AIEEA-PG-2011: Rs 500/- for General, OBC and UPS categories and Rs 250/- for SC, ST and PH categories in addition, Rs 25/- per Bulletin would be charged as handling charges plus service tax, as applicable, in case of purchase against cash (from the Registrars of Ag. Univ., specified branches of Syndicate Bank, selected places in Delhi as given in ICAR website), whereas postal expense of Rs 50/- per Bulletin should be added to the Bank Draft amount, if requested to be sent by post from COE only. The forms can also be obtained from live ICAR Institutions or COE by depositing Bank draft.

The last date for the receipt of Applications in the office of The Controller of Examinations (Education), Room No. 216, ICAR, Krishi Anusandhan Bhavan-ll, Pusa, New Delhi-110012" for both UG and PG examinations is 16"1 February 2011. However for the candidates belonging to certain remote areas viz., Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Mantpur, Nagaland, Tripura, Sikkim, Jammu & Kashmir, Lahaui & Spiti district and Pangi Sub-division of Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh, Andaman & Nicobar Island and Lakshadweep, the last date of receipt is 22nd February 2011. Applications received after the last date will be summarily rejected and Education Division, ICAR shall not be responsible for non-receipt of applications within the time schedule due to postal delay or any other reasons for delay. It is the sole responsibility of the candidate to check his/her eligibility for admission before applying. ICAR will not be held responsible for refusing admission to any non-eligible candidate at the time of Counseling or later.
