What is the Cargill Global Scholars Program?

The Cargill Global Scholars Program is a distinctive scholarship opportunity that provides financial support in addition to leadership development opportunities through seminars, networking events, and a mentorship program.

Through this scholarship program, Cargill wants to help nourish and build a network of future leaders who can develop new innovations and positively contribute to their communities. This program embodies Cargill?s commitment to improving living standards and promoting vibrant and stable communities around the globe.

Who Can Apply?

Applicant eligibility will be determined based on meeting the following required criteria.

1. Citizen or permanent resident of India

2. Enrollment in one of the partner universities which include:

* Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi * Delhi Technological University * Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Mumbai * Birla Institute of Technology (BIT) Mesra * The National Institute of Technology Tiruchirappalli 3. Second year university student 4. Demonstrate high academic performance 5. Demonstrate leadership potential

Special consideration will be given to applicants who can also demonstrate:

1. Financial Need 2. Affiliation with one of the following underrepresented groups; Female or Person with Disabilities 3. Specialization in an engineering field

What Are the Deadlines & Dates?

* Application must be submitted in full by March 15, 2013.

* Interviews will be scheduled with all semi-finalists in May 2013.

* Award winners will be announced in June 2013.
