About Aditya Birla World Academy Merit Scholarship 2020

This is available for students of Aditya Birla World Academy and external students who are seeking admission into Grade 11 (IB DP and/or A Level).

It aims to give a scholarship to meritorious, exceptional students for the two years of the IB DP / A Level programme. The scholarship will cover part or whole of the Tuition Fee. A well-defined criterion is laid down for those who could avail this scholarship scheme

SELECTION PROCESS FOR APPLICANTS

Along with the ‘Application for Admission’ the external applicants will have to additionally fill the ‘Aditya Birla World Academy Scholarship Programme Merit Scholarship Application Form’ (MSAF). The scholarship application form will be available with the online admission form. The MSAF form must be downloaded, completed and submitted (to be replaced with the word uploaded) along with the Statement of Purpose and the (to be added) original documents.

1st STAGE

Applicants will need to upload the following documents along with the MSAF:

* Academic Report
* Grade 8 Final Exam
* Grade 9 Half Yearly Exam
* Grade 9 Final Exam
* Grade 10 Reports, if any

Applicants will be invited for the second stage based on their MSAF, academic track record and their Aditya Birla World Academy entrance assessment results.

2nd STAGE

* Group Discussion
* Written Test

3rd STAGE

Shortlisted applicants will be invited for a meeting with the Chairperson and Trustees.

After the meeting, the scholarship decision will be announced and the decision of the Chairperson and Trustees will be final.

TIMELINES

29th July 2020: Final date for submission of the Merit Scholarship Application Form

8th / 9th August 2020: Subject Assessments

Fourth week of August 2020: Announcement of applicants who qualify for the second stage

7th September 2020: Group Discussion & Thinking Skills Test (2:30-5:30 pm)

18th September 2020: Final Merit Scholarship Committee Meeting

Fourth week of September 2020: Announcement of Scholarship decision

Please note that the dates are indicative and subject to change

NOTES

The information provided in the MSAF will carry significant weightage in the selection process and therefore providing false information may result in one or more of the following:

* Rustication from the school.
* Cancellation of admission.
* Disqualification for award of any future loan / scholarships
* Recovery of the scholarship amount and/or a penalty to total scholarship amount.
