About AICTE AURA Scheme -Augmenting Utilization of Research Assets

Introduction To promote the utilization of I-STEM (Indian Science Technology Engineering facilities Map), AICTE had launched the scheme named AURA (Augmenting Utilization of Research Assets) by providing the financial aid to teachers and students in AICTE approved colleges for utilizing I-STEM facilities and boosting research.

The objective of AICTE AURA scheme is to enhance the Utilization of public funded hardware and software R&D facilities mapped by I-STEM and building a culture for research in technical education institutions.

Eligibility Full time/ regular faculty of AICTE approved institutions, students of PG Scholarship schemes/ ADF scheme/ QIP scheme of AICTE and all students of Diploma, U.G, P.G studying in AICTE approved institutions can get the benefit of AICTE AURA scheme.

This scheme can be availed maximum two times in a faculty/ students career.

There will be no age limit to avail the benefits of the scheme.

Duration of project will be of two years.

Financial Support An amount of up to Rs. 2 lakhs would be reimbursed to the researcher to take up a research after submitting the payment receipt for utilization of equipment/ facilities registered on I-STEM Portal.

Maximum limit of funding is Rs. 2 lakhs per researcher.
Bills will be submitted on a half yearly basis for reimbursement.
