Airtel Scholar Hunt, Destination UK, is a multi-stage, multi-discipline contest, which shall be a television series on NDTV 24×7.

About the Contest

Airtel Scholar Hunt, Destination UK, is a multi-stage, multi-discipline contest, which shall be a television series on NDTV 24×7.

The contest provides a unique opportunity to students passing out of class XII in 2007 to win prestigious scholarships, to renowned universities in Britain.

In all, five scholarships are on offer by means of a specially-designed reality competition. At the end of the contest, each one of five deserving and lucky winners shall be awarded a scholarship to an Undergraduate Programme/Bachelor’s Degree in one of five disciplines, offered by one of five participating Universities

The participation process is as follows: Registration

* Registrations will open at 12:30 pm (IST), on April 24, 2007, and close at midnight, April 30, 2007.

* Contestants will SMS UK to 6388.

* On filling in Registration details, a Roll No and Exam Password will be generated and sent to the email ID entered. Contestants will use this Roll No through all subsequent stages of the selection process.

Preliminary Online Test (POT)

* Eligible Contestants will log on to the Examination page on www.ndtvscholar.com using their Roll No and the Password sent to them by email.The Exam Password will expire 24 hours after the Contestant first logs in to the Examination page.

* Contestants can take the Preliminary Online Test (POT) after logging in to the Examination page.

* They may attempt the Exam a maximum of three times (within this 24 hour period, while the Password is valid). Only the score of the last attempt will be taken into account.

* Contestants will be assessed on the basis of their answers, as well as the time taken.

* The top 400 scorers per subject (opted for at the time of registration) will be selected for the Subject-Specific Examination.

Subject Specific Examination

* Short-listed Contestants will appear for the relevant Subject Examination at one of the test centres (opted for at the time of Registration) across the country, at the time and date specified by NDTV.

* Contestants will be required to answer the questions in a specified time.

* Results of each Subject Specific Exam will be declared on the same day simultaneously at all test centres.

* The top 40 Contestants per subject will make it to the next round – Interviews.

Interviews

* Interviews for each subject Scholarship will be conducted by a panel, including University representatives.

* All Interviews will be held in New Delhi.

* The top 20 Contestants per subject will make it to the next round ? Quiz/Competitive Tasks.Quiz/Competitive Tasks

* The round is designed in collaboration with the Universities to test the Contestants’ aptitude, skills and knowledge.

* This part of the Contest will be conducted in a TV studio.

* Four Contestants per subject will be selected for the Final Round.

Final Round

* The round consists of final selection based on Competitive Tasks and Questions, developed in collaboration with the Universities.

* One winner per subject will be announced at the end of Final Round.
