Admission Notification 2008-2009 School of Biotechnology

1. M. Sc Biotechnology

Eligibility: Bachelor?s degree in Physical *Physics & Chemistry), Biological (Botany and Zoology), Biochemistry, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Agricultural, Veterinary, Fisheries Sciences, Pharmacy/ Engineering/ Technology or equivalent degree with at least 55% marks.

2. M. Sc Bioinformatics

Eligibility: B. Sc in any subject, B. Sc (Agriculture), B.V. Sc, B. Pharm, B. tech, MBBS (any degree equivalent thereto 55% of marks).

3. M. Sc Bio Electronics & Biosensor

Eligibility: B. Sc Degree in Science Subjects

4. M. Sc Animal Health & Management

Eligibility: Any Degree (B. Sc/ BE/ MBBS/ B.V. Sc). Preferably with Biology, Zoology or Botany based atleast in the +2 level.

School of Nano Science and Technology:

5. M. Sc Nano Science & Technology:

Eligibility: B. Sc (Maths), Physics, Biology as main subject or B. Sc Applied Maths, Applied Physics, Electroncis, Nuclear Physics, Bio Physics, Industrial Chemistry, Polymer Chemistry, Applied Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Biotechnology, Nano Biotechnology, Biochemistry and Microbiology.

Application Cost: Rs.300/- (Rs.150/- for SC/ST)

Date and Time of Entrance Test: M. Sc (Biotechnology) ? 14.06.2008, 2.00 p.m. to 4.00 p.m.

Centres: Chennai and Karaikudi.

Applications and Prospectus can be obtained from the undersigned on requisition along with a crossed Bank Draft drawn in favour of The Registrar, Alagappa University payable at Karaikudi by enclosing a self-addressed stamped (Rs.15.00) envelope of 35 cm x 10 cm. SC/ST candidates should submit the attested Xerox copy of the Community Certificate along with the requisition letter. Candidates can also download the application form and instructions to the candidates from http://www.alagappauniversity.ac.in. Downloaded filled in applications should be accompanied by a DD for the specified amount. Candidates appearing for the final year/ semester examination can also apply.

Last date for Receipt of Completed Applications is extended upto 09.06.2008.
