ADMISSION NOTIFICATION

The Ali Yavar Jung National Institute for the Hearing Handicapped (SRC) graded as very good performance by the Rehabilitation Council of India, imparts Professional Training in the area of Audiology Speech Language Pathology and Special Education (Hearing Impairment). It also provides clinical and rehabilitation services for the needy.

Applications are invited for a admission to the academic year 2009-10 for the following courses:

01 – Bachelor in Audiology & Speech-Language Pathology (B.ScASLP) – 25 – 4-yrs – 10+2/HSC or equivalent examination with Science subjects (PCB/M) from a recognized Board in India or abroad and with minimum of 50% marks in optional subjects – Selection on merit basis (marks obtained in 10+2 optional subjects). Last date for sale and submission of Application 12.06.09

02 – Bachelor of Education Special Education (Hearing Impairment) (B.Ed.Spl.Edn(HI) – 25 – 1-yr – B.Sc./BA/B.Com from Osmania University or its equivalent with minimum aggregate marks of 50% for general category and40%forSC/ST – Selection on merit basis or Entrance examination conducted by Osmania University. Last date for sale and submission of Application 29.05.09

03 – Master in Audiology & Speech Language Pathology (M.Sc.ASLP) – 13 – 2-yrs – i) Bachelor in Audiology & Speech Language Pathology or any equivalent degree recognized by the respective Universities and RCI, with minimum aggregate marks of 50% for General Category and 40%forSC/ST ii) Internship mandatory for candidates who passed B.Sc. ASLP / its equivalent after 2001 – Selection is based on Entrance examination conducted by Osmania University. Last date for sale and submission of Application 29.05.09

04 – Diploma in Hearing Language & Speech (DHLS) – 25 – 1-yr – 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized Board of education with science subjects as optional i.e., M.PC or Bi.P.C. – Selection on merit basis. Last date for sale and submission of Applications 12.06.09

05 – Diploma in Special Education (HI) (D.Ed.(SE-HI) – 25 – 2-yrs – 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized Board of education with Min. of 45% Marks for General category & 40%forSC/ST – Selection on merit basis. Last date for sale and submission of Applications 12.06.09

OTHER DETAILS :

1) The prescribed application forms and prospectus can be obtained at above address in person or by post on payment of Rs. 500/- for general category and Rs. 300/-for SC/ST or PH by way of Demand Draft in favour of “The Assistant Director, AYJNIHH, Secunderabad” payable at Secunderabad, from the date of this notification.

2) The applications received after the last date will not be entertained.

3) Candidates waiting for results can also apply.

4) For B.Sc. (ASLP) and M.Sc. (ASLP) courses 50% of the Seats are filled on merit basis (including AP candidates) & 50% of the Seats reserved for local candidates from AP.

5) Reservation for SC/ST, OBC & PH as per Govt, rules.
