ALL INDIA INSTITUTE OF HYGIENE & PUBLIC HEALTH ADMISSION NOTICE

Application are invited from intending candidates for admission to the Master of Veterinary Public Health (MVPH) and Diploma in Nursing Education and Administration [Community Health] [ D.N.E.A. (CH) ] Courses conducted by the All India Institute of Hygiene & Public Health (AIIH&PH), 110, Chittaranjan Avenue, Kolkata-700 073. Application forms for the courses could be obtained by making a request to the office of the Director, A.I.I.H. & P.H., Kolkata, either personally or by post.

The last date of receipt of completed application forms by the Institute is on 20th April. 2012.

1. Master of Veterinary Public Health (M.V.P.H.): (Affiliated to University of Calcutta)

Duration of the course is two academic years.

Eligibility criteria : M.B.B.S. or B.V.S.C. & A.H. Degree of the University of Calcutta or any University recognized by the University of Calcutta. Preference will be given to those candidates who are (i) deputed by the Central/ State Government or other recognized bodies or (ii) having at least one year experience in the field of Veterinary Science.

The Course will commence from 1st July. 2012.

2. Diploma in Nursing Education and Administration (Community Health) [ D.N.EA (CH)

Duration of the course is twelve academic months (1 Year).

Eligibility criteria : (i) Certificate/ Diploma Course in General Nursing and Midwifery from any of the State Nursing Institutions of India or its equivalent from any other Country and registered with respective Nursing Councils, (ii) Minimum of two years working experience after basic qualification in a reputed health facility in any clinical area of Nursing or Community Nursing.

Male Nurses must have prescribed training recognised by Nursing Council in lieu of Midwifery.

The course will commence from 1st July. 2012.
