Let your kid explore the magic of storytelling
Celebrate International Literacy Day with Story-A-Thon
Story-A-Thon is a platform for your little authors to explore their creative writing skills. Here’s where they can bring out their imagination to write their own story.
They get a chance to be featured on global learning platforms like Read Along by Google, Global Digital Library, and Pratham Books Storyweaver (across multiple languages). Inspire your kid with stories curated by the British Council on the Read Along app, and let them create their own masterpieces.
We are welcoming stories from kids between 5-11 years of age. Submissions open on Sept. 8, 2020, at 12:00 PM (GMT) and will close on Sept. 30, 2020, at 11:59 PM (GMT). kids can write their stories in either English, Hindi, Bengali, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, Urdu, Spanish, Portuguese, or Arabic, whichever language they are comfortable with.
Step 1: Download Read Along by Google.
Step 2: Go to the Story-a-thon section and read the stories curated by the British Council. Your kid then gets to answer some fun questions!
Step 3: Write their own story and submit it by clicking on the button below.

Word Count: Max 350 words
