Central Mine Planning & Design Institute Limited (CMPDIL) is a subsidiary of Coal India Ltd. (CIL) stands as a symbol of specialist consultant for all those who are in the mineral and mining sector. With four decades of experience and talent bank of more than 900 multidisciplinary professionals having expertise in Mineral exploration, mine planning and design, infrastructure engineering, environmental management, mineral beneficiation & management services. CMPDI is truly a unique and dynamic consultant organisation across the globe. CMPDIL is conducting a hackathon for Research & Development problem statements to promote creativity and innovation by providing a platform for participants to think out the box and develop novel solutions for real world challenges faced by CIL and the mining industry. Participants can form teams to brainstorm, prototype, and present their solutions within given time period.

The Hackathon provides opportunities to start-ups, research organization, academic institutes, corporations, non-profit organizations, and others to collaborate with each other in their field, learn new skills, and gain valuable experience in problem-solving and critical thinking. The Hackathon will provide participants from diverse backgrounds such as engineers, designers, programmers, scientists, and entrepreneurs opportunity to network and build relationships with other professionals and potential industry partners.

Coal India Ltd. (CIL) has also taken several steps to digitalize its activities such as ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system & OITDS (Operator Independent Truck Dispatch System). Through this Hackathon, CIL is planning to adopt new digital technology to improve its performance & efficiency and cater emergent issues.

The CMPDIL Innovation Challenge is an exciting and challenging event that can help foster innovation & creativity in mining industry and create a platform where a large business set-up may be created to serve the industry.

Opening date for submission of proposals is on June 12th, 2023.

Closing date for submission of proposals is on August 12th, 2023.
