About Design a logo for New India Literacy Programme

Literacy is one of the essential indicators of the quality of a country’s human capital. Literacy constitutes the backbone of development in a progressing country like India. It enhances the quality of life, awareness, and skills of people.

India has made significant progress in the Education sector. To boost the same, the Government has announced a Centrally Sponsored Scheme, namely, the “New India Literacy Programme” (NILP).

The scheme aims to work in the following areas:

(i) Foundational Literacy and Numeracy.
(ii) Critical Life Skills.
(iii) Vocational Skills Development.
(iv) Basic Education.
(v) Continuing Education.

The Ministry of Education, in collaboration with MyGov, invites citizens to participate in designing a logo for the New India Literacy Programme, representing the roots of the ‘Holistic and Accessible Educational system’ in India.

Evaluation Criteria

The entries will be judged based on:

1. Elements of creativity
2. Originality
3. Technical excellence
4. Simplicity
5. Artistic
6. Visual impact

Technical Parameter

1. Logo should be submitted in JPEG, PNG or PDF format only.

2. The participant should submit a high-resolution (600 dpi) image of the logo in JPEG, PNG only
3. The logo should be distinctive and scalable.
4. The logo should look clean (not pixelated or bit-mapped) when viewed on screen at 100%.
5. The logo should not be submitted in compressed or self-extracting formats.

Gratification

First Prize will be awarded with Rs. 5000/-
Second Prize will be awarded with Rs. 3000/-
Third Prize will be awarded with Rs. 2000/-

The last date for submission is 22nd January,2023.
