EngiNx is an Engineering Innovation contest from TCS – Engineering and Industrial Services & Internet of Things Business Units

Introduction

Digital revolution began several decades back and is certainly here to stay. We can’t agree more that it received an important boost due to the prominence that the digital world has acquired in the face of limited mobility during recent times due to the pandemic.

Most of world’s largest organizations have seen their transformation programs accelerate during the lockdown period and continue to invest more capital in acquiring digital technology to transform themselves. The past few months have seen unprecedented technological advance driven by COVID-19 and global lockdown. The way people buy, communicate, work and in general the way of life of people around the world has been transformed.

Technology has acquired an important role in the new normal ensuring that business activities continue safely such as the use of QR codes in restaurants and hotels to order food, implementation of remote temperature sensors and the identification and forecasting of the behavior of new outbreaks of the pandemic through Big Data and Artificial Intelligence.

The SMEs have been overwhelmed by the new conditions and they find it necessary to reinvent themselves to continue with their operations. We being engineers too see immense opportunity in digital transformation in the new normal.

Overview

EngiNx 2021 brings to you, your turn to identify an interesting solution to the problem statements to be shared by TCS with the qualifying teams of Round 1 using Digital Technologies, IoT, Data Analytics and Cognitive Systems.

The problem statements along with broad categorization will be shared by TCS to all round 1 qualifier teams and they will be required to develop solution to any one of the problem statements of their choice. Further and detailed guidance and guidelines will be shared in subsequent phases.

EngiNX 2021 is an opportunity for Engineers across India to bring out the innovation and creativity and compete for the best in class.

The contest is open to students from the 2022 and 2023 batch.
