EVitalize 2022 – Powering What’s Next

India’s 2030 vision of e-mobility – 70 per cent of all commercial cars, 30 percent of private cars, 40 percent of buses, and 80 percent of two-wheelers and three-wheelers – has put us on the path of becoming one of the largest EV markets in the world. India is rapidly expanding its e-revolution by introducing EV policies that will accelerate the much-desired transition to EVs and trigger mass uptake. India is poised to become the ‘global hub of manufacturing of EVs’ with the right corresponding forward and backward linkages. According to the Vahan Portal, as of August 2022, the total number of registered EVs in India across vehicle categories stood at over 15 lakhs. In fact, as per India Energy Storage Alliance (IESA) the Indian EV industry is expected to expand at a CAGR of 36% by 2026.

DSEU Innovation and Incubation Centre for Entrepreneurship (DIICE) in partnership with Hero MotoCorp is excited to introduce ‘EVitalize 2022 – Powering What’s Next’, a showcase of EV innovation. The hackathon aims to promote the drive towards sustainability by solving real-world challenges as identified by the industry. The purpose is to empower our Indian EV industry with the best technological advancements developed indigenously. The participants must come up with innovative and viable technical solutions / business models to provide Indian manufacturers with a long-term competitive edge in the global market.
