About Mascot Design Contest for Bureau of Energy Efficiency

Bureau of Energy efficiency intends to develop its Mascot which would be the face of the organization. The mascot essentially should be a well-designed character with strong and depictive connection with the organization and its primary objective i.e. to reduce energy intensity of the Indian economy. It should have a persona which reflects what Bureau of Energy Efficiency stands for.

About BEE: The Government of India has set up Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) on 1st March 2002 under the provision of the Energy Conservation Act, 2001. The mission of Bureau of Energy Efficiency is to assist in developing policies and strategies with a thrust on self-regulation and market principles with the primary objective of reducing energy intensity of the Indian economy within the overall framework of the Energy Conservation Act, 2001. This is to be achieved with active participation of all stakeholders, resulting into accelerated and sustained adoption of energy efficiency in all sectors. The selected mascot may be used for awareness programmes by the Bureau of Energy Efficiency.
