Apply Now: Allianz x Social Shifters MoveNow Social Innovation Challenge | $90,000 in Funding for Young Innovators

Applications are now open for the MoveNow Social Innovation Challenge, an initiative supporting young people developing innovative solutions to pressing social and environmental challenges.

 

The Challenge invites young changemakers aged 18–30 from around the world to submit youth-led solutions addressing the needs of underserved communities.

 

With a combined pool of $90,000 USD in total grant funding, alongside opportunities for mentorship, expert guidance
and connections to a global community of changemake

rs, MoveNow aims to help young innovators take their ideas
and impact further.

 

 

Challenge Categories

 

Applicants can apply under one of three categories:

 

1. Move the Mind — Financial Confidence in the Digital Economy Supporting solutions that improve financial confidence, inclusion and accessibility in an increasingly digital economy.

 

This includes innovations addressing financial literacy, digital financial safety and barriers to financial independence.

 

2. Move the Body — Closing the Health Gap: Equality in Health Ecosystems Supporting solutions that tackle inequalities in health access, services and outcomes, particularly for underserved and underrepresented communities.

 

3. Move Society — Community-Led Climate Resilience: From Early Warning to Resilient Livelihoods

 

Supporting community-driven approaches to climate adaptation and resilience, including disaster preparedness, sustainable livelihoods and solutions that strengthen communities facing climate-related risks.

 

Across all categories, applicants are encouraged to explore how AI and emerging technologies can be used responsibly and inclusively to strengthen their solutions. Technology is encouraged, not mandatory.

 

Funding and Support

 

A total of $90,000 USD will be awarded across the three categories, with $30,000 allocated to each category.

 

Each category offers:

 

• 1 award of $10,000
• 4 awards of $5,000

 

Beyond funding, participants have opportunities to connect with a global community of young changemakers, while
finalists receive pitch coaching from Allianz employee volunteers to help strengthen their presentations.

 

 

Who Can Apply?

 

The Challenge is open to applicants who:

• Are aged 18–30
• Are based anywhere in the world
• Address a clearly defined social or environmental challenge
• Build solutions for and from underserved communities
