What is S.O.L.V.E.D. Challenge?

Are you a young change-maker with an innovative social entrepreneurship idea for serving rural and sub-urban India? Does it serve a ground-level challenge in any of the 5 segments of the agricultural food value chain i.e. Input, Production, Processing, Markettng or Consumption ? If yes, you are in the right place!

The “S.O.L.V.E.D. (Social Objectives-Led Volunteer Enterprise Development) Challenge”, launched by United Nations Volunteers (UNV, India), United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports (MoYAS), invites young social entrepreneurs to the launching pad for mentoring and training experts for becoming entrepreneurial champions.

Who can Register?

This initiative will involve a nation-wide call for applications from social, volunteer entrepreneurship solutions from among the rural and sub-urban youth in India (18-29 years), focusing on the geographic expanse of 58 districts across all states of India, under operational scope of the UNVUNDP-MoYAS project ‘Strengthening NYKS and NSS’

Eligibility

If you belong to any of the below categories, you are eligible to apply for the challenge.

• Aspiring youth entrepreneur with a business idea in agri-food value chain
• Early stage youth entrepreneur in agriculture and food value chain
• College student with a business idea in the thematic area of the challenge.
• Age criteria – 18 to 29 years.
• You can apply either individually or as a team.

The last date to participate in the SOLVED challenge is 30th May 2021.
