Information & Public Relations Department , Govt Of Kerala invites applications for “State Photography Award – 2019″
First Prize : Rs.50000
Second Prize : Rs.30000
Third Prize : Rs.25000
Incentive prize of Rs. 2500 for 10 persons.
Photos selected for one, two or three places will receive a prize of Rs. 50,000, Rs. 30,000 and Rs. 25,000 respectively and each winner will receive a certificate and a sculpture. Ten people will be given an incentive of Rs 2,500 each and a certificate.
1. The State Photography Awards are presented each year for photographs based on different themes. This year’s topic is ‘Life rewritten by Kovid’. Preference will be given to Kerala background photographs.
2. One person can submit up to three entries for the contest. Substandard photos will not be considered for the contest
3. Both beginners and amateur photographers can participate in the competition.
4. Those who work as photographers in government departments, autonomous institutions and newspapers are not eligible to participate in this competition.
5. The passport size photo of the photographer must also be uploaded.
6. Artificial photos are not accepted as entry. Sophisticated editing of photos using technical features is not allowed, but the necessary cropping and color adjustment can be done without compromising the authenticity and authenticity of the original photo.
7. Each photo should have an appropriate title and the context and location of the photo. Maximum 30 words. If the caption is in Malayalam then Unicode font should be used.
8. Photographs received as entries in the competition will be subject to the regulation of the Information and Public Relations Department.
9. Photos selected for one, two or three places will receive a prize of Rs. 50,000, Rs. 30,000 and Rs. 25,000 respectively and each winner will receive a certificate and a sculpture. Ten persons will be given Rs. 2500 each as a consolation prize and a certificate.
10. The winner will be decided by a judging panel of at least four members. The committee will have a chairman and three members. The winners will be determined by majority opinion. One of the four members of the committee will also be the Member Secretary. The Member Secretary of the Committee will be the Chief Photographer of the Department of Information and Public Relations.
11. Correspondence of any kind related to the competition is not permitted
12. All cases relating to the Photography Award should be jurisdiction of Thiruvananthapuram.
13. The final decision on the photography award will be made by the state government.
14. The government will have the power not to award the award if it does not receive the award entries.
The winner will be decided by a judging panel of at least four members. The committee will have a chairman and three members. The winners will be determined by majority opinion. One of the four members of the committee will also be the Member Secretary. The Member Secretary of the Committee will be the Chief Photographer of the Department of Information and Public Relations
