About The University of Sydney Norman Matheson Student Support Award (Honours)

An undergraduate scholarship for honours level students – $7500 scholarship to support undergraduate honours students in agriculture and is awarded on the basis of equity.

Who’s eligible

You must:

* have completed your third year of either
* Bachelor of Science in Agriculture,
* Bachelor of Food and Agribusiness,
* Bachelor of Science/Bachelor of Advanced Studies (Agriculture), or
* Bachelor of Science/Bachelor of Advanced Studies (Food and Agribusiness)
* be progressing to or enrolled in full-time honours in your fourth year.
* be able to demonstrate financial hardship.

This scholarship is valued at $7500 and is tenable for one year only.

Background

This scholarship was established in 2015 by a gift in honour of Professor Norman Matheson, a graduate of the University and former academic in agricultural chemistry at the University of Sydney from 1964 until his retirement. It supports undergraduate honours students in agriculture and is awarded on the basis of equity.
