Theme – LIFE ON OUR PLANET- A HOPE FOR FUTURE GENERATIONS!

Every day is a new beginning and an opportunity too; to learn new things, make new choices and take informed decisions. If we all make our choices with nature in mind, then together we can find a way to live in balance with the natural world. After all, we are part of nature, and we need it to survive on Our Planet.

Our planet is home to incredible diversity of natural places and life. The ecosystems have evolved over millions of years resulting in diverse and complex biological communities living in balance with the environment. The potential loss of any of the species can lead to unprecedented changes in diversity and modifications in our ecosystem leading to collapse of the entire environmental system. According to the Living Planet Report (LPR), 68 % of the wildlife populations have declined from the 1970s. Over the past few decade human activities have destroyed and degraded forests, grasslands, wetlands and other important ecosystems, threatening human well-being.

Each one of us has a role to play- all we need is the will to act. It’s only when we have a shared understanding of the problems we face, and the solutions available, we can take action to bend the curve of biodiversity loss.

This year, Wild Wisdom challenge will take you into an exciting and a reflective journey!

Taking inspiration from the messages and themes within the film – David Attenborough: A Life on Our Planet, Wild Wisdom 2021 will take you through the journey of exploration, understanding and taking action to build a sustainable planet. Through the quiz we will explore how to go Net Zero, Revive the Oceans, Eliminate Waste and Re-Wild the World.

Sir David Attenborough has seen first-hand the monumental scale of environmental change caused by human actions and it’s the time for you to get some wisdom by understanding the humanity’s impact on nature. Generations of people have grown up watching him and hearing his empathetic voice for nature and its wonders. If you too want to make a difference, take this opportunity to understand from the man who has devoted his life exploring the wild places of our planet and documenting the living world in all its variety and wonder, across the globe.
