RESEARCH FELLOWSHIP IN ENGINEERING & APPLIED DISCIPLINES AT INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY, BANARAS HINDU UNIVERSITY

Applications are invited on plain paper for the following research positions in the Departments of Ceramics, Chemical, Civil, Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Mining, Metallurgical Engineering, Pharmaceutics, Applied Chemistry, Applied Mathematics and Applied Physics as also in the Schools of Bio-Chemical, Bio-Medical Engineering and Materials Science & Technology and CAS in Electronics Engineering of the institute of Technology, Banaras Hindu University, Subject to availability of actual vacancies.

Research Fellowships : If selected they will entitled for HRA contingencies etc., along with the following fellowships as per the eligibility criteria indicated against each.

(i) Senior Research Fellowship ( Engg & Tech ): Open to M.Tech/M.Pham degree holders with a minimum of 55% marks or to MBBS degree holders with two years research experience and a minimum of 55% marks @ Rs.10,000/- per month and other benefits.

(ii) Senior Research Fellowship ( Science): Open to M.Sc., degree holders with two years research experience and a minimum of 60% marks at the qualifying examination and NET/GATE qualified @ Rs.9000/- per month and other benefits.

(iii) Junior Research Fellowships ( Engg & Tech): Open to M.Tech/M.Pharm degree holders with a minimum 55% marks or B.Tech/B.Pharm. degree holders with a minimum of 65% marks and 2 years experience and GATE qualified or Fresh B.Tech/B.Pharm. degree holders with GATEm and with a minimum of 75% marks and having rank within top 20% of their class @ Rs.8,000/- per month and other benefits.

(iv) Junior Research Fellowship (Science): Open to M.Sc., degree holders with a minimum of 60% marks in the qualifying examination abd NET/GATE qualified @ Rs.8,000/- per month and other benefits.

The percentage of reservation in respect of Research Fellowship shall be restricted to 15% and 7.5% for S.C. and S.T. candidates respectively.

The candidates selected for the award of SRF/JRF will be required to register themselves for the Ph.D Programme at the first available opportunity failing which the fellowship will be automatically terminated.
