Admissions to Higher Degree (PG) Programmes 2016 – 2017

Applications are invited for admission to its 4-semester Higher Degree Programmes offered in various programmes at the campuses mentioned below. Admissions will be made on all India basis and on merit of candidates.

Note,

(i) Final list of programs offered is subject to a minimum no. of application for a particular programme,

(ii) Admissions to M.EJM.Pharm. are based on performance in computer-based online test conducted by BITS, to be held during 28″ May – 29* May 2016 at specified centers in India. Eligibility: a minimum of 60% aggregate in quatifying examination. Details of test, Syllabus, Programmes-wise eligibility and modality for admission are available at www.brtsadmission.com.

Assistantship (Fee waiver and Stipend); Candidates admitted to a Higher Degree Programme will also be considered for teaching assistantship with stipend upto Rs. 11,2007- per month and / or partial tuition fee waiver. Selected candidates will be required to participate in teaching and other developmental programs of the institute under guidance of faculty members.

Admissions to Ph.D. Programmes 2016 – 2017

Applications are invited for admission to Ph.D. Programmes at Pilani, Goa and Hyderabad campuses in following disciplines:

Biological Sciences, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Civil Engineering, Computer Science, Economics and Finance, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Management, Mathematics, Mechanical Engineering, Pharmacy, Physics, Humanities and Social Sciences, Interdisciplinary areas such as Biotechnology, Energy, Environment, Robotics, Nano-science & Nanotechnoiogy, Water Management etc. For availability of full time/part time PhD admissions in any specific discipline at a campus, please refer to www.brtsadmission.corn. The candidates should also visit respective department website for further details. Input Qualification:

M.E./M.Pharm./MBA/M.Phil of BITS or its equivalent with a minimum of 60% aggregate.

Candidates with an M.Sc./B.E./B Pharm or an equivalent degree with a minimum of 60% aggregate may also be considered for Ph.D. admission. For Ph.D. Programme in Humanities and Social Sciences candidates with an M.A. and with minimum of 55% aggregate may also be considered.

Full time students: Candidates are required to devote full time towards Ph.D, Short listed candidates will be required to come to Pilani/Goa/Hyderabad campuses for test and/or interview. Preference will be given to candidates working in ongoing sponsored projects in the Institute and to CSIR/UGC-NET qualified candidates

Part time students: Candidates working in organizations situated in close vicinity of campuses of BITS Pilani will be admitted under this scheme

Assistantship Those admitted to full time Ph.D. programme will be considered for Project/Research Assistantships to the tune of Rs. 13,200/- to Rs. 18,200/- pm or more.
