ADMISSION TO MBA PROGRAMME – 2010, BASED ON CAT-20Q9

Applications are invited for admission to fuil-fime MBA Programme 2010 – 2012 at Mesra, and BIT Extension Centres at Jaipur, Kolkata, Laipur; and Noida. Please see our website for details & addresses of Centres.

Eligibility:

(A) Candidates must have appeared in CAT 2009. (B) They must hold a recognized Bachelor’s degree (minimum 10+2+3) in any discipline. Candidates of B.Sc. / B,A. / B. Com. Honours must have minimum 55% marks in average (45% for SC/ST) in their Honours subject. Candidates of other graduate courses must have minimum 55% marks (45% for SC/ST) in graduation, computed as average of marks in ALL subjects in which candidate has appeared (excluding optional subjects). Candidates graduating in 2010 can also apply, provided they have at least 55% marks (45% for SC/ST) at the time of applying. They must submit marksheets by 31 Oct 2010. Candidates with quaiificattons acquired through correspondence or distance-learning programmes are eligible only if they acquired such qualifications as working professionals and have passed the programme. (C) Candidates must have Verbal Percentile at least 40 (25 for SC/ST) and Total Percentile at least 40 (25 for SC/ST) in CAT-2009.

Selection Procedure: Provisional selections wili be based on Total Percentile in CAT-2009 of candidates who have applied and fulfill the eligibility criteria mentioned above. Atl notifications wili be on our website. No separate intimations wili be sent to candidates.

How to Apply: The MBA 2010 Information Brochure is given on our website. To apply for the programme, eligible candidates must fill in the online application form on our website, and send printout with requisite enclosures and crossed DD for Rs. 1,200/- in favour of Birla Institute of Technology, payable at Ranchi, by 7 May 2010, at the address below. The link for filling the online form will be active from 9 am on 5 April 2010 to 4 pm on 5 May 2010. The Institute wili use CAT-2009 for short-listing candidates for its fuil-time MBA programme. The IIM’s have no role in the selection process or in the conduct of the programme.
