About Buddhist Studies Scholarships Offered By Khyentse Foundation

Khyentse Foundation Buddhist Studies Scholarships are grants to support individuals who wish to study the Dharma. KF accepts applications from teachers, students, practitioners, scholars, and translators, from all traditions, schools, and sects of Buddhism.

WHEN:

Khyentse Foundation accepts open scholarship applications twice a year, from December 15 – January 15 and from June 15 – July 15. Applicants will be notified by May 15 and November 15, respectively.

HOW:

Applications are reviewed by an international selection committee appointed by Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche. Download the application.

HOW MUCH

Khyentse Foundation Buddhist Study Scholarships generally range from US$500 to $3,000, and occasionally more, depending on the project.

* Open Adobe Reader (click here to install) and fill out the application.
* Save the document.
* Email the completed form to scholarships(at)khyentsefoundation.org.

Exception:

Students applying to Rangjung Yeshe Institute in Nepal should apply directly to RYI. KF gives RYI an annual amount toward financial aid for ordained sangha, lay students, and work-study participants. Tuition awards are partial or full, depending on need.
