RENEWAL OF CENTRAL SECTOR SCHEME OF SCHOLARSHIP FOR COLLEGE AND UNIVERSITY STUDENTS

Eligibility (Applicable for all categories of applicant) :

1. Applicant should have passed Class XII from CBSE in the year 2008/2009/2010/2011/onwards and awarded Central Sector Scholarship by the CBSE.

2.Applicant should not be availing any other scholarship from any other source/ scheme.

3.Applicant should have passed in all the subjects with not less than 60 % marks (or equivalent grades) in the annual/semester examinations of U.G.Course.

4.Applicant should have maintained not less than 75 % attendance, good discipline and should not have involved in ragging activities.

5. Incomplete application will be treated as cancelled.

Note. :-Scholarship once cancelled will not be revived under any circumstances

Scholarship amount, duration

Course : Graduation

Amount : Rs.1000/- per month*for three years

Disbursal : To be disbursed lump sum Rs.10000/- at end of the academic year.

Mode of Disbursal of Scholarship

a. Scholarship amount shall be sent to the Bank Account of the candidate through ECS (Electronic Clearing System) mode only.

b. No payment will be sent in the joint account .Payment will not be released through Demand Draft in any circumstances

Enclosures and Attestation

a. The particulars filled in the renewal form are to be attested by the Head of the Institution in which the candidate is pursuing his/her higher studies.

b. For each year of renewal, separate form is to be submitted.

c. Students are required to attach the mark sheet of the First Year/Second year/preceding two semesters (as applicable

How to apply

a. The duly filled Renewal form attested by the Head of the Institution along with copies of relevant Mark sheet are to be sent in an envelope super scribing on its top left ?F-11, Renewal CSSS? to the ?Section Officer (Scholarship), 7th floor, CBSE, Shiksha Kendra, 2, Community Centre, Preet Vihar, Delhi-110092? by Post/courier. By Hand applications have to be submitted in the Ground Floor of the Board in R&I Section before last date displayed on web site..

b. Applicants are advised to retain a copy of documents sent to CBSE for future reference

Application has to be filled online and a printout of Renewal Application to sent Scholarship Unit.

Note:

1. Only those students whose names appear in the list of CSS Scholarship awarded in previous years need only apply online for renewal of Scholarship provided they satisfy the eligibility criteria for renewal of CSS Scholarship as mentioned above.

2. Applicants who have already submitted their renewal forms (prior to issue of this notice) will not be required to submit this renewal form again.

3. Applicants changing their College/Institute of study in the 1st year will be allowed to renew the scholarship provided the Course of study and Institution is recognized. Decision of MHRD will be final and binding in all such matters.

4. Applicant is entitled to receive only one scholarship at a time under Central Sector Scheme of Scholarship for College and University students. Any student found availing of scholarship from any other source will be disqualified and suitable action shall be initiated along with the institute.

5. Eligible candidates for renewal under the scheme will be displayed on the board?s web site.

6. Applicants are advised to attach the attested conversion formula of the grades/CGPA from the Head of the Institution/university to assess his/her eligibility under the scheme.

7. Those students who have not received the 1st installment of Scholarship amount either in 2008 or 2009 due to Incomplete Bank details may also submit application along with his/her correct bank details, so that payment could be released.
