ADMISSION TO THE POSTGRADUATE COURSES – 2017 SESSION

Applications’are invited from eligible candidates for admission to the following postgraduate degree/diploma courses of Ranchi University commencing from May, 2017 and conducted at this Institute.

GROUP A

1. Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology : 4 seats- (NO RESERVATION)

Duration : 2 years

Qualification : M.Phil (Medical & Social Psychology/ Clinical Psychology) from any recognized University

2. M.Phil in CI. Psychology :12 seats (UR-07, OBC-04, SC-01) (01 PH)

Duration : 2 years

Qualification : M.A./M.Sc. in Psychology regular course of a recognized University with minimum 55% marks for UR and 50% marks for SC, ST & OBC in the aggregate.

GROUP B

3. M.Phil in Psychiatric Social Work: 12 seats

(UR-06, OBC-03, SC-02, ST – 01) (01-PH)

Duration : 2 years

Qualification : M.A. in Sociology or Master in Social Work regular course of a recognized University with minimum 55% marks for UR and 50% marks for SC, ST and OBC in the aggregate.

GROUP C

4. Diploma in Psychiatric Nursing : 15 seats

(UR-08, OBC-04, SC-02, ST-01) (02-PH)

Duration : One year

Qualification: ‘A’ Grade Certificate or Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery.

Group A&B : Selected candidates will get scholarship of Rs, 8000/-per month.

Group C: Selected candidates will get scholarship of Rs. 2500/- per month. .

For Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology and M.Phil in Clinical Psychology There shall be an entrance test consisting of 100 MCQs type questions to be answered in 60 minutes. The shortlisted candidates shall be called for interview and practical. The test will have questions of MA/M.Sc. standard. The selection of candidates to the course will be based on total marks obtained in entrance test, interview and practical.

For M.Phil (PSW) There shall be an entrance test consisting of 100 MCQs (Multiple Choice Questions) type questions to be answered in 60 minutes. The shortlisted candidates shall be called for interview. The test will have questions of MA (Sociology)/MSW standard. The selection of candidates to the course will be based on total marks obtained in Entrance test and Interview.

For Diploma in Psychiatric nursing course there shall not be any written entrance examination, however, there will be an interview for the selection of the candidates.

Note:

For Ph.D.(Clinical Psychology) course :- Certificate of passing M. Phil (M&SP/Clinical Psychology) on or before 31.5.2017 must be available with the candidate.

For M.Phil (CI. Psychology). M.Phil (PSW):- M.A./M.Sc. in Psychology and results of the course must be declared on or before 19.02.2017.

For M.Phil (PSW):- M.A. in Sociology or Master of Social Work and results of the course must be declared on or before 19.02.2017.

The candidates who do not fulfill above criteria need not apply. The number of seats in each discipline is subject to change without assigning any reason.

The application form is to be submitted electronically by internet to CIP website: www.cipranchi.nic.in or online.cip.edu.in on or before December 13. 2016 and a hard copy of the same application form printed on a A4 size bond paper complete in all respect along with a Demand Draft of Rs.400/- (Rupees Four Hundred) for Unreserved candidate and OBC Rs.300/- (Rupees Three Hundred) for SC/ST candidates (non-refundable) in favour of Director. CIP, Ranchi payable at Ranchi should reach the Director, Central Institute of Psychiatry, Kanke, Ranchi-834006 (Jharkhand) by December 21. 2016. The hard copy of the application form should be duly signed by the candidate and his/her photograph pasted in appropriate place. Incomplete applications not accompanied with Demand Draft, attested photocopies of all certificates, mark sheets, testimonials, Caste Certificate, Disability certificate if applicable or applications received after due date, i.e., December 21, 2016, shall not be considered. The admit card and a covering letter having necessary instructions will be made available on the CIP website
