PUBLIC NOTICE

Subject: Revised procedure for selection of candidates under Commonwealth Scholarship, UK- regarding.

It is to bring to the notice of the general public that the following procedure would be adopted to nominate candidates from the ‘2019 Commonwealth Scholarship, UK’ onwards:

i) All candidates who have secured admission in any of the participating institutions/Universities of Commonwealth are only eligible to apply online for the relevant subject. The last date for application would be as per the deadline set by the Commonwealth Commission.

ii) The subject wise list of students along with the name of the university would be generated through the system.

iii) In case there are more number of students than the available nominations, preference would be given to those students who have secured seat in an institution which is ranked higher as per the latest QS Ranking of World

Universities.

iv) The same process would be followed for nominating Ph.D students.

(v) Accordingly, the list will be prepared and submitted to the Commonwealth Commission as per the cut off date given by the Commission.

2. Once the formal offer of scholarship for the year 2019 is received from the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission, UK, the same would be published on the website of the Ministry at www.mhrd.gov.in/scholarships.
