About the  Conference

The Centre for Public Policy (CPP) at the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB) invites submissions from researchers, practitioners and policy makers to the XV International Conference on Public Policy and Management, to be held on 24th to 26th August 2020, IIM Bangalore.

The interdisciplinary conference draws scholars representing a diversity of perspectives on public policy issues; and provides a forum for showcasing the latest developments in policy research and practice. The conference typically hosts academic sessions, topical policy debates, workshops, panel discussions and practitioner-oriented discussions on contemporary topics in public policy and management. We welcome papers from following domains in public policy and management from academia as well as from practitioners:

 Inclusive Growth

 Identities and Development

 Sectors of Economy

 Institutions and Democracy

 Law and Governance

Theoretical and empirical papers shedding light on how the domains shape or is shaped by public policy; opportunities and constraints of institutional arrangements; and social as well as economic contexts shaping public policy are welcome. Papers not in these domains but related to public policy broadly are also welcome. Contributors can submit either a full paper (around 8,000 words) or propose a specific panel session with multiple papers (3-4 papers). Participants are limited to one paper presentation and one roundtable/panel appearance. Additional co-authored papers are allowed only if they are presented by the co-author. For full paper submission- only abstract submission will not be accepted for reviewing. Submission of the full paper and specific panel session is through online portal: Paper Submission Conference Travel Grant (Exclusively for currently enrolled PhD students): CPP will provide up to 10 travel grants to doctoral student presenters, who are registered as fulltime students in Indian Universities. The grants will be awarded on a competitive basis. The selection committee’s decision is final. Travel grants will be for a maximum of Rs. 20,000 and to be used towards accommodation, economy-class airfare, and airport transfers. Travel grantees are responsible for making their own arrangements. Bills will have to be submitted for all expenditures. Reimbursements will be on actual expenditures and with a maximum of Rs. 20,000. Please indicate on your paper submission if you wish to be considered for a travel grant and if you were a grant recipient for the XIV Conference, 2019. If you are nominated for a grant, you will have to submit proof of full-time registration status and a letter from your institution mentioning that no other funding has been received to attend this conference
